GIS for Everyone
Trinity University maintains an unlimited site license with ESRI for
a complete array of ESRI GIS software products, data, and extensions.
There are several different installation and licensing options based on
your current status at Trinity (faculty, staff, or student), the
computers that you plan to install ArcView on (personal or TU), and
planned use of the software (on or off campus). To request installation
of ArcView,
email the ITS Help Desk.
Student Copies of ArcView
Students
can
request ArcEditor software for
their own windows laptop or desktop computers. This software is the full
version of ArcEditor with all available extensions included. The program
will time out one year from it's installation at which point, if still
enrolled at Trinity students can request another installation.
Instructors
may want to take
a look at ESRI's Student version
software request page.
From there you can order the aforementioned 1
year timeout copies of ArcView free from ESRI, complete with extensions.
Free Desk Copy of ESRI Press Books
Instructors should be aware that
free
'desk copies' of ESRI Press books are available to them for
books which are required text for their students.
