Spatial Inquiry at Trinity

Trinity University seeks to promote teaching and learning with tools for spatial inquiry across the curriculum. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), interactive digital maps and globes, and print and digital static maps are among the technologies used by faculty, students, and staff, in and beyond the classroom. GIS is currently taught within the curricula of the departments of Geosciences, Urban Studies, and Biology, Political Science, and Sociology.

Support for spatial inquiry and technology is founded on:

  • Easy access to software, data, and related literature
  • Technical and instructional design support for applied technology in the classroom and lab
  • A commitment to promoting use of spatial analysis, maps, and GIS in a broad array of disciplines

To start learning, using, and teaching with GIS or other mapping tools, make an appointment with Jeremy Donald, faculty technology liaison.

Please send any comments or suggestions about this page to Jeremy Donald, library liaison for Geographic Information Systems.
