JSTOR
Full-text article backfile of scholarly journals, 1995 and prior, covering a wide variety of subjects including African American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, science, sociology, and statistics.

History Cooperative
Current full-text content for several top history journals, including the American Historical Review, Journal of American History, and William and Mary Quarterly.

Project Muse
Full-text scholarly journals from various University Presses that cover literature and criticism, history, visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies and more. Most journals are only full text back to the late 1990's.

Humanities Abstracts
Index to popular and scholarly periodicals and books; contains limited amount  of full text. Covers archaeology, art, classics, film, folklore, food, journalism, linguistics, music, performing arts, philosophy, religion, space, world history, and world literature.

Academic Search Complete
Excellent general purpose index to scholarly and academic titles. Covers the social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. Many full-text articles.

HAPI Online
Index to Hispanic-American periodicals. Contains citations to articles, book reviews, documents, original literary works, and other materials appearing in more than 400 social science and humanities journals published throughout the world. Coverage is 1970-present.

European Library

Guide to History on the Web
Searchable database of more than 5,000 US and world history sites.

The American Civil War Homepage
A comprehensive directory of hypertext links about the Civil War period (1861-65).

American Women's History: A Research Guide
