Legal Resources
Databases / Web Sites

Databases

These databases are recommended for searching for articles related to legal issues:

LexisNexis Academic
Extensive full-text database with nearly 6000 legal, news, and business publications. Full access is available to Supreme Court cases, state court cases, law reviews, and legal journals.

Index to Legal Periodicals and Books
Index provides coverage for all areas of jurisprudence including recent court decisions, new legislation, criminal and corporate law. It provides another source for accessing law reviews and legal journals, many with full text available.

FindLaw
FindLaw is a website which provides an index to various types of legal information and serves as a useful alternative if LexisNexis is unavailable.  Especially helpful is a searchable index to U.S. Supreme Court cases from 1893--present.
