The Bible

Each citation style has specific rules related to citations for the Bible.  In addition, in-text references to quotations from the Bible are treated in different ways depending on citation style. For example, MLA parenthetical citations include an abbreviated version of the name of the book and also includes the chapter and verse of the scripture.
