Information Literacy Services for Teaching Faculty

Teaching faculty are involved with students on a constant basis and are a key element in a successful information literacy program. Liaison librarians and the Information Literacy Coordinator are available to assist faculty with the following services.

Instructional Services	Description
Course-Related Library Instruction	Work with a librarian to teach your students, face-to-face, how to find and evaluate information relative to their coursework.
Library-Related Assignments	Work with a librarian to develop an assignment that includes information literacy objectives and your course objectives, while successfully utilizing library resources.
Research Appointments	Refer your students to a librarian for one-on-one research appointments to help them with their assignments.
Departmental Workshops	Keep your department up to date with an instruction session designed for your research and teaching needs.
"Focus on Faculty" Library Workshops 2005-2006 Calendar	Attend a general session offering training in new resources, updates on scholarly communication or keep up to date with research tools.
