The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy
"The first dynamic [philosophy] encyclopedia. Each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. Unlike static reference works which are fixed on the printed page or on CD-ROM and which often become outdated soon after they are published, this document constantly changes with the addition of new entries and the modification of existing entries. Consequently, you can expect the entries in this encyclopedia to be responsive to new research. Moreover, the entries are evaluated by an Editorial Board."

Erratic Impact: Philosophy Research Base
Categorized by history, subject and author, this meta-index integrates text resources with the best online resources. Based upon visitor participation, the Philosophy Research Base serves as both a study guide and a platform for a wide variety of community services for students and teachers in philosophy and related subjects. The site began as a research tool for students enrolled in philosophy courses at Villanova University.

Guide to Philosophy on the Internet
A fine, searchable compilation by Peter Suber, the chair of the Philosophy Department at Earlham College.

Philosophy Guide (Research Institute for the Humanities, Chinese University of Hong Kong)
One of the better collections of pointers to various sites of philosophic interest, this page also has links to many online editions of famous texts.

Philosophy Links (from the Yale University Library)
Comprehensive links listings organized into categories, including Philosophy Gates and Search Engines, Philosophy Departments and Programs, Research Centers, Philosophy Journals Online, Text Archives and Projects, and Conferences.

The Skeptic's Dictionary: A Guide for the New Millennium
Claiming that the "only thing infinite is our capacity for self-deception," philosophy professor Robert T. Carroll provides over 250 articles debunking popular myths.   Categories include alternative medicine, ETs and UFOs, junk science and pseudoscience, frauds and hoaxes, and more.  Carroll supplements his essays with comments from readers, bibliographies, and links to Internet sites.

Philosophy Film Database (Australian National University)    unavailable as of January 1, 2008
Database includes teaching and research topics in philosophy in conjunction with films that help to illustrate or elucidate theories, concepts, etc.

The Society for Women in Philosophy
The Society for Women in Philosophy was started in 1972 to promote and support women in philosophy.  While not currently maintained, the categories of links related to women in philosophy are useful.
