CIA World Factbook
This information is published annually by the Central Intelligence Agency for the us of U.S. Government officials. Provides individual country information in an alphabetical arrangement. Brief data is given on geography, people government, economy, and defense forces. Includes a small map section.

Country Indicators for Foreign Policy
The CIFP database currently includes statistical data in the above issue areas, in the form of over one hundred performance indicators for 196 countries, spanning fifteen years (1985 to 2000) for most indicators.

The Human Rights Review Digest

World Policy Institute

European Union
There has been a rapid proliferation of information available on the WWW about and from the European Union. These are some of the major Internet sources relevant to the study of the EU. Many links include publications (white papers, green papers, treaties) and both bibliographic and descriptive information on EU institutions, policies, etc.

Middle East Virtual Library
A collaborative venture of more than a half dozen international libraries, MENALIB is coordinated by the University and State Library Saxony-Anhalt, Halle in an attempt to combine contributors' resources into a virtual library of materials on the Middle East and North Africa. --

Public Agenda
Public Agenda Online provides eighteen issue guides that cover topics such as crime, education, environment, immigration, social security, and welfare. Each issue guide contains an overview of the issue, a news digest of recent stories, background data, various perspectives on the issue, resources for more information, and analyses of related public opinion drawn from major public opinion polls.
