Begun in 2023 by Summer Undergraduate Research students alongside Abra Schnur, University Archivist, and Dr. Dania Abreu-Torres, Conmemorando a la Comunidad highlights the histories of Latinx communities at Trinity University.
This project, led by student Claire Sammons and Dr. Jennifer Mathews, shares the history of how the site of Trinity University transformed from a municipal dumpsite to modern liberal arts college campus.
Created in Summer 2021, the Mellon Institute Project seeks to contribute to the overarching history project by creating a digital space to present findings. Students worked with the library to create this exhibit.
This exhibit was created by Mellon Summer Research Fellow, Peyton Tvrdy with the help of Digital Technologies Librarian, Elizabeth Poff. This project aims to categorize Sicner’s mural and explore themes, mediums, and artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré, and William Blake.

Over the the spring 2016 – 2020 semesters, students in Prof. Dominic Morais’ SPMT 3314 class were challenged to become historians. These exhibits grew from an athletics topic, to a narrative, to an engaging exhibit.
