Note: Gabor F. Peterdi (1915-2001) was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States in 1939. He enlisted in the army during World War II and his experience with the devastation of war heavily influenced his print work. His paintings primarily focus on nature. He lived and worked primarily in New York and Connecticut, teaching at the Brooklyn Museum, Hunter College and Yale University.
