Welcome! We’re excited to see our students return to campus and our library. I should say, YOUR library, as our staff works hard to provide the resources you and your faculty tell us you need. We’ve made a few changes over the past weeks: new furniture on the second and fourth floors gives you nicer, more comfortable study options, and our coffee shop is in the process of becoming a Starbucks.
The library is typically viewed as a place to find resources for your academic projects and interests, and we have an amazingly wide collection of digital and analog materials for you to use. We also can quickly provide you with other resources through our arrangements with other libraries and publishers. But the library is much more than just its collections. Our award-winning professional and support staff teach information literacy concepts in various classes, provide walk-up assistance at our reference and circulation main desk, and offer personalized research assistance through consultations with our subject librarians. You can find contact information and set up appointments with the links found at this website.
The library is also an important physical place for our students. It provides areas for quiet study, group collaboration, socializing, and exploring areas of interest. Whiteboards are stationed throughout the building for your brainstorming activities. Study rooms may be reserved online for use by small groups of students. Many students and faculty enjoy meeting in our coffee shop as well.
I hope you find your library to be a welcoming place for productive study and interaction! If you have any suggestions or concerns about our services or building, please feel free to contact me or any of our other library staff.
